Hundreds turned out on a cold, rainy day to honour our fallen soldiers and remember their sacrifice. Cobourg resident Corporal David Panepinto, who is currently on a mission in Kandahar, was on home leave and joined the local reserve regiment for the Remembrance Day parade.

Police believe they found the body of murdered Warkworth woman Michelle Barnoski, 33, on Friday, June 13. A body was discovered in a shallow grave in the backyard of her home. Cause of death is still unknown.

Students from Fleming College and local elementary and high schools released Atlantic Salmon into Cobourg Creek on Friday. The students were participating in the Atlantic Salmon Restoration Program -- an initiative by the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters aimed at returning the fish to Lake Ontario and its tributaries.
