The couple was laid off just before the holidays. World Vision Peg McCarthy/Northumberland News 10-year-old Nicole Hart is trying to raise the $1,200 needed to buy a stable full of animals for a community through World Vision. She and her mom Jackie have made inserts for their Christmas cards and posters to put up around Cobourg.
