Going off the Grid Toronto jazz band Mr. Something Something performed for students at Jack Miner Public School March 9, where they were promoting alternative power sources. In the Off the Grid concert students Holly McIntyre and Michelle Arshad pedalled the Sound Cycle which helped to generate power for the band to play.

Helping Haiti Students at Applecroft Public School are doing their part to help out people in Haiti. Students are donating money to help the Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti and for their donation, they receive a paper brick they can sign their name on and post around the school.
