Murder trial Peg McCarthy/Northumberland News A heavily guarded James Boudreau is lead from Cobourg Superior Court at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, following convictions for second degree murder in the death of James Edward Pearce and first degree murder in the death of Gordon Carl Smith. Mr. Boudreau faces 25 years incarceration with no parole eligibility.

He Is Out On Bail Alan Smith has been granted bail while he awaits trial on a charge of second degree murder in connection with the death of Beverly Smith 33 years ago. The decision at Superior court in Whitby Monday afternoon comes six weeks after the charge was laid. Stefanie Swinson has the details.
